Your Bridal Glow

Your Bridal Glow

I had the honour and privilege to be Samantha's Bridal MUA over the weekend & I find at every wedding I go to, there's something special left in my heart from being there.

Samantha's demeanour is relaxed, easy-going and fun-loving - her Make-up request? "Nothing too heavy but I still want to look good". Luckily for me, Sam is also my Brow & Lash client plus we had her Pre-Wedding shoot & Hens Night Glams.
As an MUA I believe Bridal Make-up should do 3 main things
  1. Compliment and help unify the overall look
  2. Reflect your personality & signature style
  3. Be exactly what Y O U want
For Sam, we went with her signature look (defined Brows and lashes) & worked around that to focus on exactly what she wanted. Her skin was flawless, her cheeks were bronzed and blushed and her lips were adorned with a soft cherry gloss. All while leaving in her favourite nose piercings & tattoos on show.

Even when "gently" suggested to do otherwise by others, she respectfully replied with a "No, it's okay I like them".

So, what's the deep, heartfelt takeaway from this wedding?

Do what makes you happy.

Sounds cliché but I believe this one is cliché for good reason - doing what makes you happy is important, on YOUR WEDDING DAY is so empowering, especially when it comes to your Make-up.
There are plenty of compromises in any relationship & many during the Wedding planning - maybe you're saying "yes" to the Church ceremony even though you wanted that sunset beach vibe. Maybe you're saying "Yes" to all the people from that side of the Family even though you haven't spoken to them in 10 years (or haven't even met them).
Your Makeup does not need to be another compromise - It's your face. Your style. Your day.
Happy Wedding planning my loves - remember, be happy, do you & share that love along the way you a beautiful beacon of light,
- Boo, your Bridal MUA x
